Vera Molnar
Vera Molnar is a concrete artist who has been using the computer as a design tool since the sixties. In 1947 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Art in Budapest as a Professor of Art History and Aesthetics. Before having a computer Molnar would imagine she had a computer and created a systematic method of creating art. This changed in 1968 when she began using an IBM computer, monitor and plotter. In Molnar's words "What is so thrilling to experience is not only the stepwise approach toward the envisioned goal but also sometimes the transformation of an indifferent version into one that I find aesthetically appealing." — TOWARDS AESTHETIC GUIDELINES FOR PAINTINGS WITH THE AID OF A COMPUTER, Vera Molnar
