Joan Truckenbrod is an American artist who has worked in different media from works on paper to multimedia installations. She has produced artwork from the seventies up until today. Her work has been exhibited internationally as well as in the United States and is included in many collections. Black Box Gallery is representing the artist's early work from the seventies. For this work Joan programmed the work in Fortran at the time when programs were executed using punch cards. The work was created without the use of a graphic interface and could first be seen when the actual printout had been made from the computer.
